About Markus Hughes, NCTMB

Owner of San Juan Sports Massage, Markus Hughes, is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. Markus has over 1500 hours of training and holds an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies, with a focus on Sports and Orthopedic Massage from Boulder College of Massage Therapy. Markus also has an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois. 

With more than ten (10) years of professional experience, Markus has developed a unique style that blends Shiatsu, Normalization of Soft Tissue Systems, Neuromuscular, Integrative, and Swedish massage - with energy medicine including Craniosacral work and Reflexology.

In his downtime,, Markus also enjoys fly fishing, canoeing / kayaking, mountain biking, camping, hiking, snowboarding and exploring the backcountry. When not spending time outdoors, Markus spends his time as an artist, specializing in charcoal and oil painting.
